Dear Swing Left North Shore/Cape –

Abortion and voting rights are in danger in NC so we need to make sure that the Republicans do not get a veto-proof majority in either house of its legislature.   We will be working on postcards for several NC legislative candidates this fall – starting this week with Mary Wills Bode. Our on-the ground partner, County2County, has selected the most important races and the targets for our postcards.

Mary Wills is non-profit executive director, attorney, and North Carolina native running in a newly drawn D+2 district.  Mary Wills’ priorities include lowering health care costs by expanding Medicaid, ensuring schools are well equipped to provide the best education, and making reliable high-speed internet accessible.  Votes for Mary Wills are likely to have up-ballot effects, ensuring votes for Democratic US Senate candidate Cheri Beasley at the top of the ticket.  

MAIL DATE: Sept 15, but you can mail as soon as you have completed your packet.  (There will be another project before Sept. 15 so please try to finish in the usual 7-10 days!!!)
